Representatives of the Supreme Election Commission (SEC), Mariam Gugunava, Fridon Batnidze and Nestan Nakashidze, participated as international observers in the local elections of Portugal. The staff members of the SEC monitored the elections at the official invitation of the National Elections Commission (CNE).
On October 10, the delegation met with members of the National Elections Commission, including Rodrigo Roket and the Service Officer, Luiza Sera. On Election Day, the members of the SEC observed the election in Lisbon. The SEC delegation observed the opening procedures of polling stations and the voting process. They also attended the final meeting, organised by the National Election Commission and discussed the process and the main challenges of the elections, with the Chairperson of the CNE.
