Electoral Dispute Resolution

On September 30, 2024, the Supreme Election Commission (SEC) of Adjara, with the support of the Council of Europe (CoE) program entitled "Supporting the Transparency, inclusiveness, and Credibility of the Electoral Practice and process in Georgia," organised the working meeting. The main topic was “Electoral Dispute Resolution.”
Parmen Jalaghonia, the Chairman of the Supreme Election Commission and Maia Jorjikia, Senior Officer at the Council of Europe made the opening remarks.
Training participants discussed the following issues: legal, operational, and technical e-voting standards, recommendations on e-voting, the Venice Commission's code of good practice in electoral matters, and the Review of electoral complaints—domestic and international standards.
Maia Vachadze, the Council of Europe Expert, shared insights on electoral complaints, an overview of practices of the Constitutional Court of Georgia and common courts of Georgia and other related issues.
