On September 25, in the framework of a large-scale voter information campaign on electronic voting technologies, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia and the Supreme Election Commission of Ajara (SEC), in cooperation with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) organised information meetings for blind voters.

Gender, Equality and Inclusion Manager at IFES (The International Foundation for Electoral Systems), Miranda Tkabladze, and the Chairperson of the SEC, Parmen Jalaghonia, made the opening remarks. The head of the Strategic Planning and Reporting Department, and the head person of the Working Group On PWDs Issues, Sophio Sitchinava delivered a presentation on the current activities of the election administration in the direction of promoting an inclusive election environment.

At the end of the meeting, Zviad Surmanidze, the Chairman of Batumi DEC, demonstrated electronic voting technologies. The meeting participants had an opportunity to experience the mock elections using new electronic technologies.
