On, June 24, the Supreme Election Commission, the Gender Equal Commission of the Supreme Council of Ajara and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) held a working meeting.
The chairperson of SEC, Parmen Jalaghonia, Gender, Equality and inclusion manager at IFES (The International Foundation for Electoral Systems), Miranda Tkabladze and the Chairperson of the Gender Equality Council, Member of the Supreme Council, Phati Khalvashi made the opening remarks.
Parmen Jalaghonia, SEC Chairperson informed meeting participants on changes in the law and those important technological updates and activities the administration is carrying out for the 2024 election.
The SEC member, Tsiala Shavadze provided information about the preparatory process for 2024 elections and technological updates.
Electronic voting technologies were on display and mock elections took place. Meeting participants had an opportunity to verify verification and vote-counting devices firsthand.
