Representatives of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Sejmik and the Marshal’s Office of the Republic of Poland visited the Supreme Election Commission of Ajara. The Chairperson of the Commission, Paata Keshelava, introduced the guests to the Commission’s legal status, organisational structure, powers, and main areas of activity.
During the working meeting, particular attention was paid to electronic voting technologies. The delegation was presented with practical experience in using voter verification and vote-counting devices, as well as the results of their implementation and their value in boosting the efficiency and transparency of the voting process.
SEC member Tsiala Shavadze delivered a presentation on electronic voting technologies.
The meeting concluded with a professional exchange of experience and discussions on electoral administration and the use of modern technologies in elections.
